Thetis (light)

Description

Thetis is an ancient Greek goddes of the sea. One of the Nereids, she had the power to shapeshift at will. Truly ancient Greeks used to consider her the creator of the universe. Because her child was prophesied to be more powerful than his father, the Greek gods married her off to a mortal, King Peleus. Their child was the hero of the Trojan war, Achilles.  This superwash merino hand dyed yarn is reminiscent of the briny shores of Greece. We have a darker version of this yarn, Thetis, which reminds us of deeper waters.
