Chilean Merino
We are pleased to announce that we are building a sheep farm on our 75 hectare property in San Felipe, Chile! It is our hope that our new flock of Merino sheep will let us bring you the absolute highest quality home farmed, hand dyed merino wool. We are super excited to expand our yarn store and we hope you are too.
Yarn Bowls

We handcarve each and every one of our yarn bowls on our own lathe. Every piece of wood is hand selected for its beauty and wood grain figure. We use Walnut, Flamed Maple, Figured Ash, Maple Burls and other species. Each heirloom piece is unique.

We have a fun time coming up with stuffed animals, sweaters, hats. This is where we let our imaginations run wild. Make your own Sappho Sheep, or browse for your next project. If you have an idea and want us to try making a pattern or kit for you, we can do that too.

Ever wonder who made the fibers that got turned into the yarn you used to make a warm pair of socks? Wonder no more! Since we raise our own sheep & partner with a few animal sanctuaries near us, we can satisfy all your curiosities about not only what, but WHO got turned into your favorite yarn.
Dreaming of a color or a transition that you just can’t find? In a specific weight or kind of yarn? Let us know about it! We specialize in making dreams come true. We even have a mix and match color library to spark your imagination.
Sappho Sheep
We run a small home farm in sunny Palm Harbor, Florida. Our home is filled with rescue animals, koi ponds, honey bees, and gardens. Its our slice of nature in the middle of the city. On the grounds of our farm we have three babydoll sheep: Belle, MaaBea, and Sappho Sheep, the kindest and most warm hearted creature we’ve ever met.
We shear our own sheep, spin, and dye our own wool. Most of the products we sell come directly from our home (and from our own sheep!) to yours.
